Before You Build

Figure out what you’re building before you pay someone to build it.

A 6-week coaching engagement for business owners who’ve tried plenty and are about to hire, launch, automate or rebuild. You leave with the decisions made and a written brief that says exactly what to build, and what to skip.

Pilot rate: $1,500 · 3 spots

You’ve already started the business.

You’ve tried things. Sold things. Changed things. Maybe hired people. Maybe bought software. Maybe built systems. Maybe abandoned some of them.

You have more information than you had when you started. The problem is that it isn’t organized into a clear set of decisions.

So now you’re considering your next hire, launch, offer, funnel, automation, website, VA, agency or operations system…

But you’re not completely sure what you’re asking them to build.

That’s what this coaching is for.

The goal isn’t to give you another business strategy to follow. It’s to help you pull useful information out of the experiments you’ve already run and turn it into a business you can build on purpose.

She has this unique talent to take your half-baked ideas and turn them into clear, actionable plans. Don’t get me wrong, you still have to do the work, but she makes it feel so easy and effortless.

This is probably for you if…

You’re the Experiment Collector

You’ve tried different offers, audiences, prices, channels, launches and partnerships. Some worked. Some didn’t. Some technically worked but weren’t sustainable. Now you have plenty of evidence and no clear conclusions.

Your question: “What have I actually learned from all of this, and what should I do with it?”

You’re the Accidental Business Owner

You started by doing something useful. People paid you. Then came more clients, an offer, a website, a hire, some tools, and somehow you’re running a business you never sat down and designed.

Your question: “What business do I actually want to own?”

You’ve Already Built Too Much

Website, CRM, funnels, automations, SOPs, VAs, maybe several generations of each. The business has changed since you built them. You’re considering another rebuild, and you don’t want to repeat the cycle.

Your question: “What should I keep, change, remove or stop building?”

You’re About to Hire Someone

You know you can’t keep doing everything yourself. Before you spend the money on a VA, OBM, tech specialist, agency, designer, developer, marketer or operations person, you want to know:

  • What exactly should they be responsible for?
  • What processes actually need to exist?
  • What should I keep doing myself?
  • What should be delegated?
  • What is worth systematizing?
  • What am I still testing?
  • What decisions haven’t I made yet?

Your question: “What needs to be figured out before I pay someone to build this?”

The problem isn’t always your systems.

Sometimes the problem is that you’ve built systems around decisions that weren’t finished.

You can automate an onboarding process that you later redesign.

You can hire someone to manage an offer you later discontinue.

You can build a beautiful funnel for an audience you don’t actually want to serve.

You can document a process that only existed because you hadn’t yet figured out a better way to work.

You can spend thousands making a business more efficient before deciding whether it’s a business you actually want to make more efficient.

Infrastructure makes decisions more expensive to change.

So let’s make the decisions first.

Anh’s very personable, kind, and intuitive. She asks great questions to the root of things. When I first came to Anh, I had all kinds of ideas on how to pull off my business: a membership, a book, 1-1 coaching, workshops, challenges, YouTube, and more. Anh immediately saw what was happening and I’ll never forget her words: “Chris, there is A way but there is no RIGHT way. These are all A way.” At that point, it felt like a whole wall of confusion had come down. And all I had ahead of me was clarity and relief.

Six weeks. Four sessions. Your actual business.

No 47-page framework. We work from what you’ve already done and what happened.

  1. Before we start

You send a voice note and fill in a short worksheet listing what you’ve tried: offers, launches, hires, tools, partnerships.

  2. Session 1: Inventory

We map your experiments and separate what happened from what you think it means. “I launched it and nobody bought” is evidence. “My market doesn’t want this” is a conclusion. Those aren’t the same thing.

  3. Session 2: Patterns and direction

What keeps working, what doesn’t, which assumptions are still untested. Then we get specific about the business you want: who you serve, what you sell, how you deliver it, how involved you want to be, and what you explicitly don’t want.

  4. Session 3: Borders for the chaos

    Everything gets a label.

    • Keep: worth continuing
    • Stop: no longer belongs
    • Test: promising but not proven
    • Decide later: doesn’t need an answer yet
    • Build: understood well enough to justify infrastructure

Then we design one or two small tests for the questions only reality can answer.

  5. Weeks 4 and 5: You test

You run the tests and send me voice notes as results come in, or when you’re tempted to buy something.

  6. Session 4: Decide and brief

We review what the tests showed and finalize. Within 3 business days you get everything in writing.

Sessions are 90 minutes on video. Voxer is open on weekdays for the full six weeks.

What you’ll have at the end

You won’t necessarily have a perfect five-year plan. You’ll have something more useful.

A defined direction

A clear description of the business you’re choosing to build now.

A decision record

The important decisions you’ve made, including why.

A stop list

Things you’re no longer doing, because subtraction is part of business design.

A testing plan

The questions you still need reality to answer before committing further.

An infrastructure brief

What actually needs to be built, delegated, documented or automated, and why.

A next-step plan

Enough detail to move forward without reopening every decision every morning.

Her process-driven approach has helped uncover blind spots in my business that I hadn’t noticed before. With her guidance, I get more clear and manageable action steps, making the path ahead feel much more focused and purposeful.

Pamlie

Take the brief to anyone.

The infrastructure brief is written so any VA, agency or developer can build from it. You don’t have to hire my team.

If you do hire Tech VA Team to build it within 60 days, 50% of your coaching fee comes off the build.

And if the brief says “build nothing yet,” that’s a result. You just kept the money you were about to spend.

Investment

Pilot rate: $1,500 for the first 3 clients. Pay in full, or in two installments of $750.

In exchange for the pilot rate, I ask for honest feedback and permission to share your story as a case study. After the pilot, the standard rate will be $2,500 to $3,500.

For comparison: one funnel rebuild that nobody uses, or three months of a VA doing the wrong work, usually costs more than this.

This is not for everyone

You probably don’t need this if:

  • You’re looking for someone to tell you what business to start.
  • You haven’t yet tried selling or delivering anything.
  • You want someone else to make the strategic decisions for you.
  • Your main problem is a specific technical task that needs doing. (That’s Build.)
  • You’re looking for a motivational program.
  • You already know exactly what you’re building and need implementation. (Also Build.)

This works best when you have real experience to examine and you’re willing to take part in the thinking. You don’t need to arrive with perfect clarity. You do need to be willing to look honestly at what you’ve learned.

Questions

How is this different from business coaching?

Most business coaching hands you a strategy to follow. This works from your own evidence: what you’ve already tried and what happened. You leave with decisions and a written brief, not a framework borrowed from someone else’s business.

What if I find out I don’t need to build anything?

Then the brief says so, and you’ve saved the cost of the build. That’s a good outcome.

Do I have to hire Tech VA Team afterwards?

No. The brief is yours and works with any builder. If you do hire us within 60 days, 50% of your coaching fee is credited to the build.

How much time does it take?

Four 90-minute sessions over six weeks, plus 1 to 2 hours a week between sessions for the worksheet and your tests.

What is Voxer, and do I need it?

Voxer is a free walkie-talkie style voice messaging app. We use it for the first conversation and between sessions. If you’d rather not, book a 30-minute call instead.

I’m about to hire someone next week. Is it too late?

Say so in your voice note. If the hire can’t wait, it becomes the first decision we work on.

What time zones do you work with?

I’m based in UTC+7. Most of our work happens asynchronously on Voxer, so clients anywhere in the world work well. We schedule the four live sessions at a time that suits you.

The point isn’t to figure everything out.

It’s to figure out enough.

Enough to know what deserves another experiment. Enough to stop spending on things you’ve already learned don’t work. Enough to know what you’re asking another person to build. Enough to make your next investment knowing what you’re buying and why.

You’ve already done the experimenting. Now let’s figure out what the experiments were telling you.

Want to see if this fits?

I don’t have a polished “book a discovery call and answer these 17 questions” funnel for this.

Send me a voice note on Voxer telling me:

  1. What you’re building or trying to build
  2. What you’ve already tried
  3. What you’re considering doing next
  4. What you’re thinking about hiring or investing in
  5. What you’re currently unsure about

I’ll listen to the actual situation and tell you whether I think this coaching would be useful.

If I don’t think I’m the right person for the problem, I’ll tell you that too.
